This exciting day takes us to the island itself. Setting off at 9:30 fuelled with a beach front breakfast we hit the road once again making our way through Chanthaburi and on to Trat’s ferry port, the stepping stone to Koh Chang. The crossing to the island is short, usually taking between 40 to 50 minutes depending on weather conditions. There are refreshments and snacks available on the ferry to enjoy while we draw closer to the island. Koh Chang translates to Elephant Island due to its unusual humpback shape, you’ll want to get your cameras ready for some spectacular photos of the lush forested mountains.
Kae Bae Beach on the west coast of Koh Chang hosts our accommodation for the night combining stunning pristine white sandy beaches with an island jungle habitat full of tropical plants and wildlife. Four glorious islands can be seen from the beach, one of which, Koh Man Nai, can be walked to at low tide for a little exploration and exercise in the sun.
Once we’re all settled and bags unpacked lunch is waiting for us in a secret cliffside restaurant with mind-blowing unforgettable views of this dream location, then its massage time like only Koh Chang can offer right over warm tropical crystal clear water in a bamboo tiki-style hut at the end of a traditional Asian wooden pier.

DAY 4 - WATERFALLS AND JUNGLE TREK
Koh Chang is teeming with waterfalls, though not the biggest or most famous in Thailand, they are very beautifully set in island mountain jungles. We will guide you to two of the best Khlong Phlu and Klong Nonsi.
Khlong Phlu’s cascading water seeps from rocks and crevices high above, the cool refreshing water will invigorate you for some jungle trekking, there are many paths leading up the mountain into the jungle. You never know what you’ll find around each twist and turn as you climb higher and higher. Koh Chang is home to 61 tropical bird species of all shapes and colors. Mammals such as the - Stump-tailed macaque - a cute little primate with an inquisitive nature. And the small Indian civet, an Asian mongoose with tiger-like striped fur and a bushy tail are natives of the island to name just a few. Mountain deer are often spotted along the trails along with colorful beetles and insects you will have never seen before. Don’t worry they’re not dangerous.
After lunch Klong Nonsi - the second of our waterfalls - is reached through Dan Mai, a small village on the east coast, the hills are steep on the way so you’ll need to keep your wits about you. These falls aren’t often frequented by tourists due to the demanding roads. We’ll park the bikes and set off on foot for a good trek up a steep mountain to the waterfall itself. Your swim in the mountain water will be a very welcome cool down. Back on our sports tourers, we head to the mountain peaks for Koh Chang’s best views points, with the sun sinking into the sea, golden clouds tint the trees and the true beauty of this ocean wonderland comes apparent.
DAY 5 - BEACH & REST DAY
The bikes are yours and so is the island. We’ve given you a taste of what’s out there. Now it’s your turn to stretch your legs and rev your engines to all corners of the island. Koh Chang’s entire west coast is beach after beach of pristine soft white sand, drenched in Thailand’s gorgeous climate, it’s ocean paradise. Each one having its own special feel from quiet and secluded to busy and fun. On offer are countless tours - mostly by boat to the neighboring islands - giving you unforgettable experiences. Land tours include elephant riding and sightseeing and guided treks in the national parks. But if it’s something really special you’re looking for take a trip to the surrounding islands and see natural beauty untouched by development. These tours provide activities such as diving and snorkling, fishing, and kayaking, and stops at the most heavenly beaches. Diving is outstanding in these waters so if you have your PADI or what to try for the first time it’s highly recommended. The gulf is abundant with life and so are the Koh Chang evenings. DAY 6 - COASTAL ROAD HOME
Sadly it’s time to leave our paradise island home and make plans for the return journey to Pattaya. But dry your eyes because fun times are ahead on the inner coastal roads of eastern Thailand.
The lower Eastern Seaboard roads are a magnet of motorcycling enthusiasts across the country with their near-perfect riding conditions. We’ll be stopping frequently along the way to take in the landmarks, shrines, and monuments that line the coast. No straight roads here, corner after corner of winding coast with headland viewpoints go on into the distance, white sandy bays with crystal clear water and offshore islands appear time and time again as we weave our way along.
Closer to home is a quaint fishing village where a well earned break is in order. There is unusual produce native to this area for you to try and plenty of coffee shops to relax and put your feet up.
The route back to our beachfront accommodation takes us to pass the shrine or Somdej Phra Chao Taksin Maharat, the beloved King Taksin holds the highest respect of the Chanthaburi people who have a saying. If you haven't paid your respect to the king, you haven't been to Chanthaburi.
DAY 7 - RIDE BACK TO PATTAYA
A two and a half hour ride along the coast brings us back to Pattaya where we’ll make one final stop at one of Pattaya’s most forgotten attractions. silverlake.
This designated area of 480 square resembles the landscape and mountains of southern Thailand’s most famous tourist locations such as Krabi and Phuket. One of Silver Lakes mountains is held in high regard by Thais, the northern side of the mountain has a sheer rocky face, carved into it is a huge golden Buddhist symbol. This attraction is known as Big Buddha Mountain. Thousands of Thais and Westerners alike come to this monument to pay merit to the Lord Buddha. From a riding point of view, the mountain has a fantastic ring road all the way around it perfect for motorbikes. Various spots have viewing points where the entire area can be seen with its lush rolling hills, vineyards, and glistening silvery lakes. This area is under constant development with many restaurants, coffee shops, and buildings giving a feel of Tuscan Italy with pine trees lining the entrance. The smell of olive trees and pine will fill your nose as you enjoy your coffee. Once rested we hit dirty trails exploring the Silver Lake area in search of elusive primates. These little-known shy but inquisitive monkeys live in the Jungle surroundings, we’ll have to leave the beaten track to find them which is a lot of fun and a test for those not used to riding off-road.
