Paradise Island Tour — 1 Week
The ultimate 1-week Koh Chang adventure — countryside riding, jungle waterfalls, island exploration, hidden beaches, diving, coastal roads, and Silver Lake vineyards.
Koh Chang is a spectacular island and our Motorbike Madness 1-week island tour is a highly requested, much-loved adventure. Thailand's 3rd biggest island — far less developed than Phuket or Koh Samui — is one of 52 islands making up the spectacular Koh Chang National Marine Park on the border of Cambodia and Thailand's far Eastern Seaboard.
Its sweeping mountainous twists and turns take you from sea level to the highs of the island. Glorious views await around every corner with an ocean that looks like a thousand stars twinkling beneath you.
Day 1 — Arrival & Base Camp
Whether you've just arrived in Thailand and need airport collection, or are already established in a resort, our luxury chauffeur-driven minivans will get you to base camp in style. You'll tour our custom-built motorcycle facility, get suited up with high-quality safety gear, and run through your paces on our specially designed onsite training course — preparing you for the roads and trails ahead.
Day 2 — The Ride to Chanthaburi
The day's ride takes us through rural Thai villages leading to Amphoe Khao Chamao National Park. This fun section takes us to mountain waterfalls and lush jungle rainforests — it's an energetic hike to the cool waterfall but well worth it with pools to cool off from the morning's ride. Lunch is served in a traditional Thai restaurant right in the park.
The second leg takes us through the heart of Chanthaburi town — a traditional historic Thai town with charming shops selling gems and local craft, quaint cafés, and country-style bar-restaurants. Our beachside accommodation features well-maintained beach villas and fine dining with freshly caught fish.
Day 3 — Ferry to Koh Chang
Fuelled with a beachfront breakfast, we ride through Chanthaburi to Trat's ferry port. The 40–50 minute crossing to Koh Chang — "Elephant Island" — offers spectacular views of the lush forested mountains. Kae Bae Beach on the west coast hosts our accommodation, combining pristine white sandy beaches with island jungle habitat.
Once settled, lunch awaits in a secret cliffside restaurant with mind-blowing views, followed by a massage in a bamboo tiki-style hut over warm tropical crystal clear water at the end of a traditional Asian wooden pier.
Day 4 — Waterfalls & Jungle Trek
Koh Chang is teeming with waterfalls beautifully set in island mountain jungles. We guide you to two of the best — Khlong Phlu and Klong Nonsi. Khlong Phlu's cascading water seeps from rocks and crevices high above, with cool refreshing pools and jungle trekking paths leading up the mountain. Koh Chang is home to 61 tropical bird species, stump-tailed macaques, small Indian civets, and mountain deer.
Klong Nonsi is reached through Dan Mai on the east coast via steep, demanding roads rarely frequented by tourists. A good trek up a steep mountain leads to the waterfall itself — your swim in the mountain water will be a very welcome cool down. Back on the bikes, we head to the mountain peaks for Koh Chang's best viewpoints as the sun sinks into the sea.
Day 5 — Beach & Rest Day
The bikes are yours and so is the island. Koh Chang's entire west coast is beach after beach of pristine soft white sand. On offer are boat tours to neighbouring islands, diving and snorkelling, fishing, kayaking, elephant riding, and guided treks in the national parks. If you have your PADI or want to try for the first time, diving is outstanding in these waters. Or simply chill out with a massage and relax on the beach or at the hotel pool.
Day 6 — Coastal Road to Chanthaburi
Time to leave our paradise island home — but fun times are ahead on the inner coastal roads of eastern Thailand. The lower Eastern Seaboard roads are a magnet for motorcycling enthusiasts with their near-perfect riding conditions. Corner after corner of winding coast with headland viewpoints, white sandy bays, and offshore islands appear as we weave our way along.
A stop at a quaint fishing village for local produce and coffee, then we pass the shrine of Somdej Phra Chao Taksin Maharat — the beloved King Taksin. The Chanthaburi people say: if you haven't paid your respect to the king, you haven't been to Chanthaburi.
Day 7 — Silver Lake & Return to Pattaya
A coastal ride brings us back towards Pattaya with one final stop at Silver Lake. This area resembles the landscape of southern Thailand's famous locations like Krabi and Phuket. Big Buddha Mountain's fantastic ring road, vineyard viewpoints with a Tuscan Italy feel, and off-road jungle trails in search of wild monkeys round out an unforgettable week. The tour ends back at base camp with a farewell feast.
