ABOUT THIS TOUR

A 7-day adventure loop for experienced riders incorporating fast twisty roads, scenic elevated back roads, technical hill climbs, and stunning off-road tracks. This tour has the lot — it delivers on all your expectations!

Experience an elevated glass-bottom walkway over the Mekong River. A twisty 1,700-metre hilltop viewpoint with incredible sights. The historic 5 Buddha heads magnificent temple complex. A coffee shop a stone's throw from neighbouring Laos! Marvel at stunning views alongside one of Thailand's most picturesque lakes, and express yourself on the various flowing technical off-road sections.

Please note: This tour is not suitable for entry-level riders. Due to the fast sweeping twisty curves, hilltop climb viewpoints, and off-road technical sections, riders need to be of a very competent level. This is a real rider's dream tour!

Day 1 — Welcome & Local Pattaya Loop (150km)

Pick-up from your hotel, bike briefing and introduction at base camp. A short 150km loop of our favourite local trails with lunch at The Bikers Cafe. An easy first day getting you used to the bike and Thai humidity — relaxed, confident, and fully prepared for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 — Pattaya to Nakhon Ratchasima via Khao Yai (380km)

Scenic back roads passing lakes and glorious countryside to the staggering beauty of Khao Yai National Park. The road through the centre is a magnet for motorcyclists with scenic tight fast curves, elephants, monkeys, and many bird species across over 2,000 km².

Day 3 — Nakhon Ratchasima to Thung Salaeng National Park (390km)

Twisty roads through narrow country lanes showcasing Thai village life. Visit the outdoor Weapon Museum with panoramic mountain views, then the magnificent Phrathat Pha Sorn Kaew — the 5 Buddhas on a hilltop overlooking Phetchabun province. Lunch with stunning elevated views of the surrounding hills.

Day 4 — Thung Salaeng to Chiang Khan (280km)

A spectacular technical hill climb to Phu Tubberk at 1,768 metres with breathtaking views. We continue to the shortest border point between Thailand and Laos — just 20 metres! — with rooftop café refreshments. Then the Mekong River Skywalk — a glass-bottom walkway 80 metres above the flowing river with views of both Thailand and Laos. Overnight in the quaint riverside town of Chiang Khan with its teakwood houses, night market, and riverfront boardwalks.

Day 5 — Chiang Khan to Khon Kaen (340km)

Stunning fast twisty route with incredible viewpoints and cliff-top scenic stops. We hug the banks of the incredible Ubolratana dam and reservoir — constructed between two national parks — before powering along curvaceous roads into the vibrant university city of Khon Kaen.

Day 6 — Khon Kaen to Nang Rong (235km)

Paddy fields, farmland, lakes, and villages with excellent off-road sections through wooded countryside and rubber tree plantations. The rural lake of Huai Kho with its wooden bridge walkway through rice fields. Narrow twisty village roads along gentle flowing rivers, state parks, and reservoirs.

Day 7 — Nang Rong to Pattaya (360km)

The home leg continues to deliver with technical off-road sections. Through the renowned Bo Thong district with the best flowing sweeping bends alongside magnificent limestone mountains. The curvy lakeside road around Khlong Si Yat reservoir before arriving back at Motorbike Madness HQ.

Pick-up from your hotel in Bangkok or Pattaya and transfer to base camp. Bike briefing, paperwork, and introduction to your bike. A short 150km loop of our favourite local trails with lunch at The Bikers Cafe.

Around 4:30pm we arrive at our favourite local resort for sundowner drinks. The first day is an easy ride — getting you used to the bike and Thai humidity, ensuring you're relaxed, confident, and fully prepared for the wonderful adventure ahead.

At 8am sharp we travel up to Nakhon Ratchasima on scenic back roads passing lakes and glorious countryside. Great twisty winding roads with a selected lunch stop en route to the staggering beauty of Khao Yai National Park.

Khao Yai is one of Thailand's best and largest national parks — over 2,000 km² of fresher air and cooler temperatures, home to elephants, monkeys, and many bird species. The road through the centre is a magnet for motorcyclists with scenic tight fast curves. Our hotel is clean, comfortable, and ideally located on the edge of the National Park.

Twisty roads through narrow country lanes showcasing Thai village life with colourful temples and the smell of local cuisine. We visit the outdoor Weapon Museum set in elevated picturesque gardens with excellent panoramic views of mountains and lush valleys.

Phrathat Pha Sorn Kaew — the 5 Buddhas situated on a hilltop overlooking Phetchabun province — is a real gem. We soak up the atmosphere and marvel at this magnificent structure before lunch with stunning elevated views. The day ends at our hotel on the edge of the National Park.

A spectacular technical hill climb to Phu Tubberk at 1,768 metres — extremely twisty with tight hairpin bends, but the breathtaking summit views are well worth it.

We continue to the shortest border point between Thailand and Laos — just 20 metres! — with rooftop café refreshments. Then the Mekong River Skywalk — a glass-bottom walkway 80 metres above the flowing river, 100 metres long, with views of both Thailand and Laos mountains and the point where two rivers meet causing the water to be two colours.

Overnight in Chiang Khan — a quaint riverside town with bars, restaurants, a magical night market, and teakwood houses lining the Mekong River. The villages of Laos on the opposite bank are so close you can feel the vibrancy.

Stunning fast twisty route with incredible viewpoints throughout. Fast tight curves in abundance as we climb to selected scenic viewpoints with coffee stops overlooking lush tropical valleys.

We hug the banks of the incredible Ubolratana dam and reservoir — constructed to generate electricity for the northeastern regions, situated between two national parks. Plenty of scenic photo spots before powering along curvaceous roads into the vibrant university city of Khon Kaen — a funky town with many restaurants, bars, cafés, and excellent live music.

The rural lake of Huai Kho with its beautiful wooden bridge walkway through rice fields. Narrow twisty village roads along gentle flowing rivers, bridges, state parks, and reservoirs. Scenic stops for refreshments and photos before arriving at the vibrant town of Nang Rong for our final hotel evening.
